Please note, these terms and conditions may from time to time be subject to amendment and therefore we advise that you always check before you register for a course. If you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions, please do not use or make a purchase from our website.

If you have any queries relating to our terms and conditions, please do not hesitate to contact us prior to any course registration.

These terms do not affect your statutory rights.

The term Midlands Centre for Advanced Learning or MCAL or ‘us’ or ‘we’ refers to the owner of the website whose registered office is Rathconnell, Mullingar, Co.Westmeath, Ireland. Our company registration number is 507373. The term ‘you’ refers to the user or viewer of our website.




MCAL respects your right to privacy and we comply with our obligations under the Data Protection Acts 1988 and 2003. The purpose of our Privacy Policy is to outline how we deal with any personal data you provide to us while visiting this website. If you are not happy with our Privacy Policy you should not use this website. By visiting this website, you are accepting the terms of this Privacy Policy. Any external links to other websites are clearly identifiable as such, and we are not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of third party websites.

When you register for a course with MCAL, you agree that any and all information given is accurate and complete. All course registrations are subject to acceptance and course availability.

No contract for the sale of any course will exist between you and MCAL until we accept your order by sending you an email confirmation.

You must check all the details on this confirmation email are correct and contact us as soon as possible if any details are incorrect.

If your order has not been accepted, you will receive an email from us telling you the reasons why.

In the event that a course is unavailable or sold out we will telephone or email to inform you of the expected delivery time to check that this is acceptable.




Secure payments on our website are facilitated by PayPal, alternatively we can accept payment by postal order or bank draft made payable to Midlands Centre for Advanced Learning. Unfortunately we cannot accept personal cheques. Please allow extra time for confirmation when paying by postal order or bank draft as these will first need to clear through our bank account.




The default currency is Euro (€) and all transactions are conducted in Euro. All prices listed are correct at the time of being entered, however, we reserve the right to change prices of courses at any time. All prices include Irish VAT rates where applicable.

Discount vouchers cannot be used on sale or promotional products. Any promotions are for a limited time only and subject to availability.




Full payment is required prior to course attendance. In rare instances, a course will be rescheduled or postponed. MCAL will provide at least five days notice. You may receive a full refund or take a credit toward another course. MCAL cannot be held responsible for penalties resulting from travel arrangements.

If conditions dictate that we have to cancel a training course with short notice, we will immediately release a communication (text message, email) to let participants know. An announcement will also be made available on MCAL's website.

In the event that we do have to cancel a training course at the last minute, MCAL will contact you to either reschedule you in to an alternate course or provide you with a full refund of the course price.

All refunds will be made to the 'payer' of the course.

Participant cancellations must be made in writing (letter or e-mail) and reach MCAL prior to the start of a course.

A confirmed registration may be cancelled without cost for up to two weeks before the start of the course. After this date participants are liable for the full fee.

Substitutions may be made on a course provided that MCAL is provided in writing with the new participant's details.

No shows will also pay full course rates.

Where a course includes in it's price a third-party non-refundable registration or examination fee, MCAL will not be in a position to offer this portion of a refund.

No shows will pay full course rates.




We have taken every measure to prevent Internet fraud and ensure any data collected from you is stored as securely and safely as possible. However, we cannot be held liable in the unlikely event of a breach in our secure computer server.

We make no warranty that our website will meet your requirements or will be uninterrupted, timely or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the site or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs or represents the full functionality, accuracy, reliability of the website. We will not be responsible or liable to you for any loss of content or material uploaded or transmitted through the website.

Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. The Code Breaker Competition is an on-line promotion that is running as part of the mcal.ie Technology schedule of courses. The promotion starts on Tuesday 19th June 2012 and ends prior to the start of the course. Correct submissions will receive an email response and details on how to claim their award.

The award is limited to a maximum of one (1) claim per claimant. (A "claimant" is defined as the person named on the competition entry or the person making payment). Claims must be submitted in accordance with the requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions to be valid. The promotion is not valid in conjunction with any other offer. It is only offered on the Ethical Hacking and Security course and cannot be redeemed against another course. mcal.ie reserves the right to change without notice the Terms and Conditions of this promotion or modify or end this promotion at any time without notice.
